You cannot pretend

A need for unknown attention.

Making an infant baby whine

Is the biggest inconvenience faced by adults

We all are familiar with it.

In your abode

Picking up a phone

You lend your curious ears

To the unmet listener

Who might peel his life to you like tearful onions.

The talk has to be from the heart

If it is friendly.

Leave your head on the table

When you talk to a friend, and

Lend your tuneful words from your bookshelf

Like a broken hand fan

Still lending you cool air in the summer heat

Or a white ribbon tying only the known parts

Of the hair every morning.
